About

My Career Journey

In the late 90’s I had a love/hate relationship with the internet.

The Internet was amazing but websites were not working

Broken links, bad web rings, Midi music you could not turn off and designs that weren’t fluid to fit my monitor. I needed to fix this and so with a copy of Paint Shop Pro and an HTML book; I set out to do exactly that.

It wasn’t easy (still isn’t) but with hard work, some luck and fantastic clients willing to take a chance; I went from odd day jobs to full web and graphic designer.

Years later I looked at my work and something felt off to me

Even though I had very pretty websites and very happy clients I began to wonder about the user. The questions kept plaguing me and so I came upon User Experience. I read everything I could, I put into practice as much as I could and found the next phase of my career. It’s been over 15 years since those moments and I’ve learned a lot, failed a lot and learned even more.
